Joetta Roberts was raised in Jolo, West Virginia, the oldest of seven children. In January 2006 I had a dream. In my dream I was asked a question, “Can you write poems?” I said no. The next morning, I was getting ready to go shopping and I was thinking about a vacation. I hadn’t been on vacation in several years. Words started coming to me on an inspirational realm. Vacation means to leave or to vacate, so I wrote my first poem “Vacation”. It has been a great journey putting words and thoughts together. When words and thoughts start coming to my mind I write until they stop. Behind every poem there is a story.

A Dream from God is a book of inspirational poems based on my faith and trust in God who has been my teacher and guide on this long journey we call life. Life has many heart aches, ups and downs but with the patience, knowledge, understanding, strength and wisdom from God, I have turned what some would think is a life of depression and sadness into a joyful and fulfilling life with God’s guidance. I find that reading my Bible daily has given me all the instruction and inspiration to living a successful and fulfilling life.
